Changabang is one of the most beautiful, difficult and rarely climbed peaks in the Indian Himalayas. In 1976, British climbers Peter Boardman & Joe Tasker achieved the first ascent of this almost 7000-meter peak via the west face.
In 2018, it was the GMHM (French Groupe Militaire de Haute Montagne) team who pulled off a masterstroke by climbing the north face of Changabang. In 2022, three New Zealanders return to the 1976 route… and succeed, 46 years after the first.
A film by Nick Kowalski (with drone footage from the GMHM!), running time 20 minutes.
