We loved the Sense 3 Pro so much, which succeeded in conceiving the almost-impossible: to bring together all running profiles, to satisfy from 40 to 80 km or even more. Curiosity climaxes in 2020, and an indispensable award in 2021: the Sense 4 Pro remains a certainty. Forget the stiffness of the N°3 and its average cushioning; the N°4 renews the upper, introduces OptiVibe® comfort and even supports the heel attacks. This Sense unfolds, attacks, and offers a copious amount of fun. 

Uphill

The crampon is asymmetrical but still generous – like Sense SG – the sole bites into loose ground impeccably, and the Contagrip® remains quite good as an outsole. Excellent traction and nice support, climbing is very pleasant.

Downhill

Although the upper has been renewed, it loses a little support during extreme stances. The Sense 4 Pro remains a fairly technical model, but it can even be reassuring because of its playful nature, inviting you to forget your fears. In terms of grip and cushioning, there is no risk, especially on soft ground: this Salomon is at the level of the best competitors.
