Steep skiing and climbing au mont Blanc du Tacul

When the conditions are good up there, you have to take advantage of them. Mountain Guide in Chamonix, Guillaume Pierrel had never climbed with American Mike D. Arnold, also a mountain guide, based in the Aosta Valley. But they decide to go for nice day together. At the end of September ’21, a fresh layer of snow fell on the Mont-Blanc massif: the idea of doing a ski-mountaineering combo germinated in the head of Guillaume Pierrel, who had only put away his skis for two months and his Gasherbrum II on skis. Two phone calls later, the two friends climb the Chéré gully on Mont Blanc du Tacul before skiing down the Contamine Negri route. Et voila.
